Phipps IPA 4.2% ABV Grainstore Brewery
Phipps IPA, brewed to an authentic 1930s recipe, is a golden beer relying solely on the pale ale malt in its grist for its colour. The classic blend of Goldings and Fuggles hops gives the characteristic English ale flavours to this full-bodied beer. The balance of bitterness and sweetness, allied to a smooth hoppy after-taste,smooth hoppy, creates a most drinkable pint.

Best Bitter 3.8% ABV Frog Island Brewery

Croak and Stagger 5.6% ABV Frog Island Brewery
Croak & Stagger is a dark, full flavoured beer. This recipe for this chestnut-coloured brew includes American Cascade hops which contribute a sweet and spicy note to the aroma. The use of English Marris Otter pale malt, crystal malt, wheat malt and chocolate malt gives a flavour that is initially roasted and slightly bitter and develops to give a slight hint of dried vine fruits. The flavour of the Cascade hops and bitterness produced by the addition of English Target hops combine to produce an astringent aftertaste. In March 2004 it was crowned Supreme Champion at the Society of Independent Brewers national competition.
